Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 7, 2026
MacroTracker is a nutrition, weight, water, and food logging app created by QuickLife Solutions.
This Privacy Policy explains what information MacroTracker handles, how it is used, and what choices you have.
Cloud sync is optional and only applies when you choose to sign in.
Information We Collect or Process
Depending on how you use MacroTracker, the app may process:
- Food logs, meal entries, calories, macros, serving sizes, and barcode information.
- Weight logs, water logs, nutrition goals, and profile preferences.
- Account information if you sign in, such as your authentication identifier and email address.
- Technical diagnostics such as crash reports and error logs, when production error reporting is enabled.
Local Data Storage
MacroTracker stores your app data locally on your device using a local database. Guest users can use the app
without creating an account. Local data remains on your device unless you choose to sign in, export data, import data,
reset the app, or otherwise interact with sync features.
Optional Cloud Sync
If you sign in, MacroTracker may sync your nutrition, weight, water, food, and profile data to our backend service
so that your data can be available across your devices. Cloud sync is provided through Supabase.
Camera Permission
MacroTracker requests camera access only for barcode scanning. The camera is used to read product barcodes so the app
can help you find nutrition information faster. MacroTracker does not use the camera for audio recording and does not
intentionally store photos or videos from barcode scanning.
How We Use Information
- To provide food logging, weight tracking, water tracking, barcode scanning, and progress features.
- To support optional sign-in and sync across devices.
- To help diagnose crashes, bugs, and app reliability issues.
- To protect user data through account-based access controls when cloud sync is used.
Third-Party Services
MacroTracker may use the following services:
- Supabase for optional authentication, database storage, and sync.
- Sentry for crash reporting and error diagnostics.
- Open Food Facts or similar public food databases for barcode-based nutrition lookup.
No Advertising or Sale of Data
MacroTracker does not sell your personal information. MacroTracker does not use your nutrition or health-related app
data for third-party advertising.
Health and Nutrition Information
MacroTracker helps you track information that you enter into the app. It is not a medical device and does not provide
medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before making medical,
diet, fitness, or health decisions.
Data Export, Reset, and Deletion
MacroTracker includes local data management features such as export, import, reset, and sign-out flows.
If you use cloud sync and want help deleting account-related data, contact us using the email below.
Children’s Privacy
MacroTracker is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children
under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and remove it.
